Founding Principles
We at Peace of Mind Mental Health and Wellness believe that mental health is founded on the holistic health of the body, soul, and mind. A healthy mind is not solely founded on focusing on any single or isolated area of life such as children, work, school, home, spouse, career, status, etc. but is based on finding balance in every sphere of life.
We have realized that many individuals fail to regard the importance of the spiritual aspect of their mental health. As was outlined by one young female patient “Many providers have been hiding one of the key ingredients to great mental health”. She shared that the secret has to do with taking serious consideration of the spiritual aspect of one’s mental health. One can recall being reprimanded and being told by leaders of a Christian organization that patients should not be encouraged to read their Bible, pray, go to church, or be encouraged to engage in any practice that affirms respect and recognition for their creator. The world frequently embraces and revels in activities and practices that negatively contribute to one’s mental well-being while disdaining and scorning practices that positively enhance one’s mental health.
Here at Peace of Mind Mental Health and Wellness, we do not want to keep the secret to success to ourselves. We want to share it with you.
